Recognition of the territory
Recognition of First Nations and traditional territories
In solidarity, we, Gosselin Courtiers d'assurances, would like to recognize that the land on which we operate is part of the unceded territory of the Kanien'keha:ka (Mohawks). This territory has, long before the arrival of the French, served as a place of meeting and exchange between nations. The ancestral territory of the Kanien'keha:ka is today the northern part of New York State and the St. Lawrence River, passing through the Kahnawake reserve and the Akwesasne reserve, which crosses the borders of Ontario, Quebec and New York State.
